It's been a really long time sense I wrote on here!!! So maybe I will just start back with today!!! I love productive days like today... All the laundry is finished, painted a bench in the entryway. My sweet nephews Matt and Trey came over and cut some pallet down for me. So i can finish the project for under Alex's bed. This week kinda stinks on the parenting side of life.... I so wish I didn't have to yell at my kids so much about their grades.... Alex is still grounded, Joshua is having a friend sleepover and Madyson is off to a Birthday sleepover... Let the weekend begin of business!!!

My sweet husband drove to Houston yesterday and back! He left at 2:30 in the morning and was home at 8:00pm. Yes he was exhausted. I just love him so much! He could have gone the night before or even stayed the night last night, but he didn't. I love it that he wants to be home as much as he can!!
Kris and I hit a book sale yesterday, it was great to get out and go with just my friend!! If course I could have done without my kids calling me tattling on each other every 10 minutes, but never-the-less i enjoyed it!
Today I hope to get everything done that I am not going to have time to get done this weekend!! All the boring stuff like laundry and cleaning and BLAH BLAH BLAH
This is going to be a full weekend of baseball! Good thing I like it!!! Saturday Alex plays in Euless at 8am and noon. Joshua plays in Grapevine at 2pm and 4pm.
My Alex will be 12 on Monday!!! WOW 12~!~!~!

Daniell had to get up at 230 this morning and drive to Houston, so of course it was early to bed for the Gage house. As it goes tossing and turning thinking he has to get up soon and should REALLY go to sleep... he does about 1:00am, up at 2:15 out the door by 2:45 and in Houston by 6:30... That means he drove really fast! :(
So that left me to get the kids up and to school - which my sweet husband usually takes care of - (this is where is gets bad)
I get Madyson and Joshua up, all is good... until we are about to leave and Madyson says "o mom can you please sign my planner" and guess what... 2 papers with bad grades!!! Of course she planned this! Not showing my the planner the night before so she would not get in trouble. So instead of dealing with it last night, now we get to deal with it this morning and all evening tonight! And I HATE fussing at my kids first thing in the morning! Makes for a BAD day!!!! Hopefully it will get better, but I hate this part of parenting...

Well the last month has been a whirl-wind!!! Daniell was out of town every week for the last four weeks. Hopefully he will be home for a while, with of course the emergency that took him to Houston yesterday!! But he is such an amazon guy, he left at 6am and was back home by 8pm. Drove to Houston, took care of the problem, and drove back! I so love him!!! My sweet Madyson just finished the play Snow White... We now will have a break from the theater, just in time for baseball to kick into high gear. Both the boys play select baseball. Joshua is on the Flower Mound Dawgs and Alex is still on the Flower Mound Hunters. Both teams will become like family between now and the end of July!!! This is a fun and crazy time of year!!! I hope to keep the my blog up to date as much as possible!!!

Tomorrow is my anniversary!!! Daniell has a great afternoon and evening planned. Not sure what we are doing, but he always does this kind of thing right!!! My sweet friend Kris is coming over to stay with the kiddos all night.(Thank you Kris) So we are leaving tomorrow about 2 and don't have to be back until the kids get out of school on Thursday!!!
Tonight Joshua has his batting trainer and baseball practice and Alex has his conditioning group. I am going to get a manicure and pedicure :) !!! The weather is actually a little chilly today, I love it. Sure beats the 95 degrees it was yesterday!!! Have a great day!!!

Down Time

Things have been crazy sense school started. Alex is doing great adjusting to Middle School. Madyson and Joshua have great teachers this year.... Madyson has the same teacher Alex had last year and Joshua had the same teacher Madyson had two years ago, so I know what to expect and what is expected out of them! Love them both!
Joshua is playing both baseball and soccer this fall season and Alex is playing baseball. We have not had any games and not too many practices because of all the rain. It is kinda bitter sweet. The rain is great for Daniell's business, but not so great for the kids. Not only do they not get to play their sports they get a little stir-crazy being inside!!!
I started a new business. I am a authorized dealer for Team Work Athletics. They sell all kinds of sport uniforms and also do custom orders. Keeping busy. Daniell is traveling alot so that leaves me to juggle getting the kiddos to school and all the places they want/need to go and get my jobs done! I don't think I would have it any other way. Staying busy is much better than sitting doing nothing!
Daniell and I had a great date last night. Madyson slept over at a friends house and the boys went to Saturday Night Out and then slept over with The Kinko's. We had dinner with some great friends then chilled at home ALL ALONE!!! That NEVER happens.
Today the boys both had baseball practice (the rain finally stopped) and I have been cleaning up and doing laundry and of course watching a little football in between. Daniell is off to the first Dallas game at the new stadium - I think it is going to be crazy, but I bet he will have a great time. Off to help Alex get his homework finished, do more laundry, figure out what's for dinner, Alex to his batting lesson, and at some point go to bed!!!!

Summer Time is almost over!!!! Boys has it been a busy summer!! I have been working, book shopping, helping my sweet friend make purses, trying to keep the kids from being "bored", keeping the house somewhat picked up and now getting ready for BACK TO SCHOOL!!!!

Both Alex and Joshua made Select Baseball Teams. Alex's is the Flower Mound Hunter's and Johsua's is the Flower Mound Dawgs. Check out there web sites if you like... during the season you can track their games and stuff going on with the teams!!!

We got teacher information in the mail yesterday for Madyson and Joshua. They are both VERY excited about the teacher they have for next year! I am happy about it too. But I learned about 4 years ago, that God knows exactly who he is placing my kiddos with!
Alex starts Middle School this year - WOW 6th grade! He is so excited!

I have tons to get finished before tomorrow at 5pm.... Daniell left this morning on business and will not be back until Sunday! Headed to San Angelo Thursday.
i need to....
work, organize the books I just bought last night, finish laundry that my sweet sweet hubby started, get my nails done, pack the kids and I, get Joshua to his batting instructor at 3:30 then to practice at 5:30 (O i also forgot I am Team Mom for Joshua's team - that's because I need something else to do LOL)... I don't even want to think about what else needs to be done. Have a great day - I'm going back to work!!!!

Madyson is back from several weeks at my moms. She had a great time. I only had a few tear-filled phone calls wanting to come home. If you asked her right now, she would want to go back. I think she liked being an only child!!! I am sure glad to have her home. The boys won't admit it, but I think they are too!!!

Saturday ended the week long AAYBA World Series baseball tournament. Joshua's All-Star team placed 3rd in the Silver Division. They had some tough competition, some select teams that have been together for a while. His team has only been together for 7 weeks. It was a great experience ~ The boys were great, the parents were great, and the coaches were fantastic!!!
Alex's team placed 10th in the Diamond division - they did a great job - It was HOT!!!! As much as I love to watch my boys play baseball, I am glad it is over for a little while!!!

Amazing what can get accomplished around the house when I don't have to be a taxi to three kiddos. Today in just one hour the downstairs has been cleaned - dishwasher unloaded and loaded, counters cleaned off, floors swept/mopped/vacuumed, desk cleaned off and organized..... I should keep the ball rolling, instead I am sitting here posting!! (i deserve the break, right? lol)

In comparison, this week will not be that busy.... I think the only plans I have to take the kids to six-flags on Tuesday (yes it will be 104 degrees, stupid I know) and get caught up on the house work.... I need a list!!! Maybe I will take them to the pool at Lifetime one day - wander how much work I can get out of them, bribery!!! I hope everyone stays cool!!!!

Both my boys played in tournaments this weekend.....

12 hours in the heat on Saturday and Sunday, between the two of them!!! They both placed 3rd place. I of course think they did well, but Daniell said third place is like kissing your sister!!! (LOL)

Alex got hit with a ball in the jaw while he was playing as the catcher.... I think I did very well - I stayed off the field and let the coaches and the umpires take care of things (it helps that Daniell is a coach, otherwise I think I would have been on the field!) He is ok and no damage done, except to my heart to see my boy crying because he was HURT!!! But he is a trooper and kept playing!!! I honestly don't know how they do it sometimes!!! Of course when the game was over I had to look him over with my own eyes and make sure he was okay!!!

We start the AAYBA tournament this weekend.. It is a week long tournament that lasts from Saturday to Saturday!!! This will be it until the Fall!!! :)

Joshua's coach has requested us mom's to play our boys in a scrimmage on Tuesday!!! I think we are going to get it handed to us!!!! But it will be fun - wish me luck tomorrow!!!

well to say the least my life has been crazy for the last few weeks

i have a new job and LOVE it!!! very flexible hours and very close to home!

madyson is spending a few weeks at my moms and she is having a great time, only a couple of tears so far! i keep reminding her if she were here she would be very bored!!!
alex and johsua are keeping me crazy busy! we have something to do with baseball everyday except on monday's!!!
joshua's all star baseball team is doing great. they have place 2nd place once and a couple of times have placed third in the tournaments they have played. alex's team is doing great too! daniell has been traveling every week for the past three weeks - i am ready for him to be home for a little while... i'm exhausted!!!! both boys have tournaments this weekend - joshua is in McKinney and I think alex should be closer to home - but of course they can never play at the same place!!! they will both play in the AAYBA which is a world series tournament that lasts the entire week starting July 4th! it will be so much fun!!! HOT but fun!!!

So much has been going on...
Joshua made the Flower Mound All-Star Blue team. This team plays in just tournaments for about the next 8 weeks. He is so excited. He did a great job. He had to make it through two try-outs. Out of about 100 kids they were choosing 30 kids to make 3 teams. He made the second team. This last weekend he had his first tournament, after only 2 practices as this new team. They did a great job. They played in Denton and Alex played in Irving... So Daniell and I had to split up( I'm sure there will be lots of that this summer!)
I started my new job on Monday. I think I am really going to like it. My last day at Fellowship is on Thursday. I have working there for 9 years!! It is really strange to leave.
My nephew Trey dislocated his shoulder last week, had a MRI on Friday and found out yesterday he will have to have surgery on Friday!! My poor sister... she is trying to get things ready for Kyle to graduate, work full-time, and get through the last two weeks of school, and now surgery!! She is kinda nervous about the anesthesia part so please keep her and Trey in your prayers!!
Speaking of the last two weeks of school! WOW!! Summer is almost here!! I hope it is a fun one!!!

WOW!!! My Life is Busy!!

Well, yesterday was a very stressful day!! It started with Daniell heading out of town until Saturday! I had a conference with Alex's teacher - I just SO love her!! That lady is doing exactly what she was called to do. She is AWESOME and so loves the kids! Even 5th grade kids, which most of the time is really hard to do!!
Then I went to work and turned in my two week notice. I have worked this at my current job for almost 9 years! Well I am starting a new adventure and with that I hope to grow my 'home business'!!! So that too was real hard to quit my job, but I did!!! All is well and I will work out my two weeks and hopefully put in some training at the new place in the mean time.
Last Friday evening Joshua went to the FMYSA All Star tryouts. There were 70+ kids there, they cut the group down and called back 50. He was one of the 50 - so last night we went to the 'callback'. He did a great job and had a fabulous time!!! This morning I got a phone call from the one of the coaches and he said Joshua had made his team!!! WOOOOHOOOO
He asked me not to tell Joshua!!!! WHAT??? REALLY???? That is the first thing I want to do when I pick him up from school!!! But the coach wants to call and tell him!! So I guess I will just have to scream it here!! And probably on Facebook too!!!
With that comes MORE practices and now tournaments for Joshua til around mid July!! Alex has practice tonight and now I have a parent meeting to go to for Joshua's new team, and of course like I said before Daniell is out of town!!! So looks like another busy evening in the Gage house!! O yes and the season ending GREY'S!!! Thank goodness for the DVR!!! Hopefully my "grey's girls" will be able to come watch after the kiddos go to bed tonight!!!!

I started to blog yesterday and something pulled me away and I never got back to finish.... so I will just start over! We had a great weekend... No baseball, everything was rained out. I love to go to my boys games, but every once in a while it is fun just to hang around! The boys had Hunter and Brandon over on Saturday, I took 6 kids to Walmart ( i might be a little crazy), all the boys got airsoft guns~~ O-my did they have a fun time!! And they still are having a great time with the new guns!!! Joshua had a game last night. They pulled out a win in the bottom of the last inning!! They kinda looked like the Bad News Bears for a little while! Joshua did hit a triple his last at bat. So that was a great way to end! Below are some pictures of the game last night.

I am sleepy this morning!! I was up until 11:45 helping Alex get his book report finished that was due TODAY!!! Of course this was assigned SEVERAL weeks ago!!!
We had a great weekend - My mom came in town - It was great to visit with her and James
Alex had practice on Saturday and my good friends, The Duncans took Alex because Daniell was out of town. He got hit was a ball in the eye! Of course the coach calls Daniell (not sure why they did not call me) then Daniell calls me - I then call the only mom that was at the practice - she said the bleeding had stopped and they got it all cleaned up and patched! He wanted to continue with practice - so we let him!! Today his eye is swollen, black and blue! But he is fine - he probably thinks I'm crazy because all evening Saturday I was asking him if if felt ok, if he had a headache, was he seeing OK??? I think I was driving him crazy!!
Saturday night David made burgers, Daniell got back in town just in time for dinner! After we had a nice visit with my mom and James we headed home before the storms!! OOOOO we also verified that a tow hitch is NOT a standard item on Ford F150!! HaHa!!! That's for you dad!! HaHa!!
Yesterday we praised God for Jesus - had a great family day (excluding the book report) - Daniell made a GREAT dinner -
This week looks just as busy as any - Joshua has games Mon and Thurs - Alex has a tournament this coming weekend!

We had a so-so weekend~~~ Alex had two games on Saturday, they won one and lost won... So we played at 11:00 on Sunday. It was a very close game. We went into extra innings, but ended up losing by 2 runs! Alex hit a double, which I was very proud of him!!
Friday night I started tearing down wallpaper in the front entry way of my house, with the help of Kris and 5 kiddos. Kids are great at destruction!!! I started to texture the walls on Sunday evening, while listening to the boys play some "shoot em up" video game with a couple of friends!
Last night Joshua had a game, they were not doing very well. Then at the very end of the game Joshua hit an in-the-park home run!!! Mayson had a friend come to the game with her, that was nice so then she had someone to play with. It was really windy and cold!!!
I started on our taxes last night ~ ARRGGGG ~ nothing like waiting til the last minute.....

Well yesterday was non-stop! This is so typical Joshua.... His teacher sent me an email with the subject line said "our friend" (i just love his teacher) So, basically the email said that Joshua had some unfinished work (surprising -NOT) she kindly listed what he was going to need to finish as homework - three things. When he got home I asked for the first thing on her list - his response was " I didn't bring that home". On to number 2, his response was the same. And yes you guessed it same response for #3. I don't know what to do with him!!! He is going to drive me CRAZY!
Right after school Hunter and Brandon came over to play for the evening and gave Alex a birthday gift (I think he liked it better than ANYTHING else he got) ~ Those boys have such a great time together!!!! We all went to the library for Madysons weekly reading with Sampson - the boys played outside. The we grabbed pizza to eat in the car and went to Kendra's softball game. They won 11-6!!!! Home at about 8. The kiddos all played videos games, then it was the usual evening routine.... showers and bed!!!
This morning I woke up with a headache.... YUCK!!! I would like to know if the Scholastic Book fairs ever GO AWAY!!! My kids tell me this morning we need to go to the school early and "look" at the book fair breakfast!! So, of course they each got to pick out a book, they had a few mini muffins and off to school. And off to work for me!!!

O My Goodness I have an 11 year old!!!
Alex had his birthday Sunday.... Of course we were at the baseball field. He played Saturday and Sunday in a tournament. The team did great on Saturday, they won both their pool games. Then we are not real sure what happen on Sunday. The lost the first game, so that was it ~~ out of the tournament. Alex did a great job he played catcher the entire game and did fabulous (even Daniell said he did great and he is Alex's hardest critic). We had a great time. Daniell's friend Mark came out to all the games (even in 45 MPH winds on Saturday ~ what a baseball lover) ~~ He has three kiddos he brought with him on Sunday ~ two girls and a boy ~ Madyson had a great time playing with the girls. After the game they came over and hung out for a while.
The games on Saturday were, to say the least, not fun for the fans. And when I say fans, I mean two ~ me and another mom. It was FREEZING and the wind was blowing really hard. The boys did a great job enduring the weather. I think it took me about 3 hours to warm up and feel my toes again! Thanks to Kim I did not have to wake Madyson and Joshua out to the ball field at 7am on Saturday. They spent the night with her on Friday night and hung out on Saturday!! Thanks Kim your a life saver!
Daniell is leaving this morning ~~ gone until Saturday! We have a busy week ~ and I am solo ~ but also blessed to have many, many people to help out when he is gone!
Joshua has a game Wednesday night ~ 6:00 at Glenwick! Another tournament this weekend ~ and lots of things scheduled between now and this weekend!

Well, i can't believe that I have not posted all week.... Well I guess I can.... Work has been really busy this week.

Last weekend Alex's baseball team won the tournaments they played in!!! Kris and the boys came out for both the games on Sunday ~~ It is always nice to have friends come watch ~~ Thanks guys for coming!! We were so excited - #1!!! Of course after the 6pm Championship game, then the awards, we all went to Culver's for ice cream!!! Yep ice cream at 9:00pm on Sunday night!!
Joshua had his season opener on Monday ~~ They did not win the game, but Joshua earned the 'game ball'!! He had some great plays! It was terribly windy!!

Daniell has been in town this week~~ Thank goodness ~~

The boys have to go to the batting cages tonight ~~ Maybe Madyson and I will go do something special this evening!
Alex has another tournament this weekend in Grand Prairie - Saturday morning games at 8 and 10 in the morning!!
Joshua plays at 9:00am at Bakersfield!!

This last week was a bit difficult for me. Daniell has been gone for most of the week and it is Spring Break!! I took 6 kiddos to Studio Movie Grill to see the Race to Witch Mountain, which by the way was a really cute movie! The kids were great!! The food there is not so great, but hey it was fun! All the kiddos have had a couple of sleepovers this week. Last night I had my usual Girls and Grey's night! (that is always GREAT). As usual we had baseball practice Wednesday, Thursday, and the boys will go to the batting cages tonight. Alex's first tournament of the season is this weekend. His team got there new uniforms and they look great! Our coach is the best, he designed them and found a great deal on them!! GO Flower Mound Hunters!!! Joshua has practice on Saturday morning and his first game of the season on Monday night! GO Reds!!! Maybe I can come up with something fun to do this evening! What I would really like is to go home and rest! Alex's birthday is coming up - WOW my kiddo will be 11 - I really need to figure what we are going to give him!!! Have a Great Weekend!!!

i forgot to blog about this last week....
We were in the car, going somewhere! Madyson and Joshua in the car, getting along, laughing, singing... i hear Joshua laugh really hard, so I turn around to look and Madyson has him in a headlock, tells him to "be real still, I'm going to pull out your eye lashes, tell me when it hurts." Joshua pulls away from her still laughing and asks her if she thinks he was crazy!!! I still laugh out loud thinking about it!!! Have a great day!

Great Tuesday

Okay, so after about 20 minutes at Flower Mound High School - wandering around aimlessly - I found a coach, who then found the head baseball coach, who then sent a kid to get the hat. Bottom line we have the hat! The scrimmage went well - the team played good - and Alex did good! Joshua has a scrimmage on Friday - that will be fun. Praise God for the rain (and I'm grateful it held off til this morning) It was really hard to get out of bed though! It is only 9 am and I have already accomplished so much! I got up, showered, got ready for work, went and got my oil changed and I am at work!! It is going to be a great day - no baseball because it is raining (he he) - Maybe tonight I can get some stuff done around my house!! Instead of the normal which is homework and out the door! Thursday is Open House and more importantly GREY'S - Kim and Kris we are on this Thursday, Daniell is in town!!!

Maybe things will be a little easier this week. Daniell was out of town for 7 days. Poor guy has traveled 4000 miles in two weeks (in his new truck)! So we have been a little busy without him. I could not get it all done without my great friends! Thanks to Kim, Kris, and Elenor everyone was where they needed to be!
We survived the dreaded Taks test! The boys had baseball practice and Madyson had her Spelling Bee on Saturday! She received a gold medal! I am so proud of her - she has come such a long way - and is becoming very comfortable in reading! Joshua had a Scrimmage on Wednesday night and he did a great job! Alex has a scrimmage tonight - as much as we need the rain, i hope it holds off til after 7pm tonight!!! I, of course, did not get all the laundry finished this weekend. But i really don't think I EVER get it finished!! There is a lot of laundry, all the time!!! I have to go by Flower Mound High School this afternoon to see if Alex left his baseball cap at the game he went to on Thursday night! (AAARRRGGG) ~ If it had been just any cap, I would not care that it was left, but NO it is the NEW hat for his baseball team this season!!!! So say a little prayer that someone really nice turned it into the concession stand!! I will fond out at 4. So I am going by the High School at 4, have Madyson at the library at 4:45, then to Bakersfield to watch the scrimmage! Somewhere in there I WILL drive thru Starbuck!! LOL - Have a great week!

Well, we had a good weekend.... Alex and Joshua both had practice on Saturday, it was FREAKING cold. I helped field balls in the outfield at Joshua's practice! Yes I throw like a girl. Saturday night the boys slept over at the Klinko's, so Daniell and I took Madyson out to dinner! OH how life would be so different with only one child. She did say something VERY funny while at dinner~~~ "Mom, what are those lines on your forehead!" I just laughed, but no it did not stop there~~~ "Mom, squint your eyes a little, Hey it looks like a volcano between your eyes!!" Ok that did not make me laugh so much~~ I just looked at Daniell and said I so need Botox!!! He said to just remember this when she has a 9 year old of her own!!! Kids are so honest sometimes!!!
Alex had a scrimmage Sunday afternoon ~ it was really cold ~ He did a great job as catcher - The team as a whole ~ not so great ~ but this was the first real play situation of the year!! Their first tournament is at the end of March!
Joshua has a scrimmage on Wednsday ~ it should be lots of fun!
This week is going to be nuts! Daniell left this morning and will be gone until Sunday! The taks test is Tuesday :( ~~~ My nervous kiddo, Alex is not taking this very well!! I just need to stay positive and encourage him ~ The other two are okay with it!!!

Thinking about today is a little daunting! Daniell left this morning for a business trip - thank goodness it's only for 2 days - but it is of course in the middle the three days that I told him (months ago) PLEASE don't plan anything on Feb. 18-20! Our church is in the middle of the annual C3 conference! So needless to say - I am working like crazy!! So today I am going to leave work at 2, run home and get some work done at home. Get Joshua at 3 from school - get his homework finished, gather Alex baseball stuff for practice. Pick up Alex and Madyson from school at 3:45.... Rush Alex to the Duncan's (so he can get to practice), then the other two over to the Klinkos. Then back to work until probably 9ish! Then pick all three up from the Klinkos after work, get them home and all in bed, so we can wake up and do it all over again tomorrow~!~! I am so grateful for my great friends helping me out!! You guys are the best!~!~

Okay... there has been alot going on.... so much so that I have not had time to blog!!!

A couple of weeks ago, I felt the effects of the economy. My employer cut my job from full-time to part-time! Hopefully with my side business we will not feel it so bad!!! I am hoping to step that up and really get it going!! It also did not seem so bad because 2 days after I got news that, a gentleman that worked with me passed away. He was only 33 years old. He left behind a wife and two boys, ages 10 months and 4 years old. This was unbelievably sad.... also made me think what in the world would I do if I ever lost Daniell.... I cant even imagine.... after the funeral I called him and asked him to never leave me here on this earth without him!!!! So my job cut did not seem so bad in the grand scheme of things... at least I have my family and they are all healthy!!!

The boys have started baseball practice and Daniell's travel schedule is CRAZY!!!!

Alex is having a tough time on school.... I think it is just something that is hard for him and he is going to have to really work hard... That kinda sucks because it is only going to get harder from here!! He needs to calm down and not get so anxious about things~~ like the STUPID taks test ~~~~ i wish there was not so much pressure on the kids over this ONE test!!! but that is the way it is right now, so we will prevail!

So, today has been typical... Daniell left this morning for a business trip and as usual lots of homework and lots of attitude...lol
All I have done is help with homework and watch the next door neighbors little boy. Who by the way is two, and LOVES his mommy!! (aka cries for her when she is gone) He is really sweet and is great as long as my kids keep him busy so he does not think about her not being here!!
Alex had his baseball try-out this Sunday for his select team. This whole 'select' thing is a little nerve-racking for a mom!! They have to tryout every year! And then wait, for what seems like forever, for the coach to post the new roster. He did make it! :) So one more year of tournament play with the Flower Mound Hunters. It really does become like a second family we spend so much time together during the season. Alex will start practices next week, probably 3 or 4 times a week until tournaments start.
Well off to clean up the house a little and crawl in bed... I have to wake the kids up at 5:15 in the morning and take them to Kim's house. She is taking them to school for me! She is a life saver for me!

Well, last week we survived the two 'ice days' ~ the kiddos were out of school ~ It was cold but, not too bad! Baseball is about to start full force, so we are enjoying any time we have just relaxing. We had a great time last night with some great friends, watching the Super Bowl. It is always nice to get together ~ The kids had a great time too ~ I think there was 11 children ranging from 3 years old to 14.... I am thankful yesterday was so nice so they could play outside! Daniell is on the road again this week ~ I think he is out of town Monday and Tuesday, in town but has meetings Wednesday and Thursday... So we will not see him until Friday!! We will handle it, we always do (with the help from my sister and friends)!!

So this is what has been going on.....
The kiddos and I, along with Kim and Kyle went to visit our Mom/Granny last Thursday... of course we could not leave until after Alex's baseball training. Shawna and her boys met us there. We had a great time visiting ~ I will post some pictures later. The kids asked me if they could go swimming one day - it was a nice day about 60 degrees outside, but the water was much colder. I thought for sure that as soon as they put their feet in the water that would be it ~ Too Cold!!! WELL NO~~ Madyson did not get in, but the boys were jumping off the side and hurrying out of the water... but they kept on doing it!! It was so funny... what a great memory ~
We came back in town Monday afternoon. Back to work on Tuesday. Daniell left this morning for meetings in California. Thanks to Kim I was able to be at work on time. She took the kids to school for me this morning and tomorrow ~ Thanks Kim!! Daniell will be back late Friday night, so I am going to bribe my kids to be good and I will take them to a movie on Friday at Studio Movie Grill, pray it works!!!

Well, my crazy, busy Thursday came and it was indeed crazy but, I survived! I did not get in bed until midnight... but that's okay. It is official all three of the kids will be wearing new glasses probably by next week or so. I will post a picture of them as soon as they get them.
Alex has a wrestling tournament in Dallas tomorrow morning. We have to be at Fair Park by 7:30. Thanks to Kim, Faith, and Kris I don't have to take Madyson and Joshua. I don't quite know what I am going to do with myself, not having to keep up with the 'Gage kids' all day. I am most certain it will be a nice break. Alex and I will have a great Mom and son time!!

Last night we went to Kim's and visited with Matt and Kera. She made a great dinner. It was even better that I didn't not have to cook or clean up my kitchen!!! Her house was FULL of people. It was nice to see them while they were here. The kids had a great time playing with Kyle's dog. I am not a dog person, but that dog is cute! My crazy, "gotta be a million places at once and my husband is out of town" day is here.... I know I will get it all done, we mom's always do!

Life is getting back to CRAZY normal real fast... Daniell is off on a business trip tomorrow, of course on Thursday ~~ New Grey's Thursday ~~ Anyhow thank goodness for DVR's! Tomorrow makes me tired just thinking about it! Alex and Madyson will stay after school for tutoring, Madyson has an eye appointment at 4, Alex has his batting trainer at 5 and wrestling at 6:30. Thank goodness Joshua's baseball practice has not started or I am sure that would be on Thursday too! Sometime in all that I need to do some laundry, dishes, and dinner. Oh and watch Grey's ~~ I know the show has gotten a little 'out-there', but it is just a tradition! My sister Kim and I used to watch Knot's Landing on Thursday evening, that was when her kids were much younger and I did not have any yet! And hey ~ it a great get-away for a few hours!
Alex has a wrestling tournament in Dallas Saturday. He has to weigh-in on Friday night! We have Hometeam on Sunday. Then it starts all over again on Monday.....

Today is my friend Faith's 40th birthday!! SO....... Happy Birthday Faith!!! She has been a little depressed about this one. So Kim and I were talking and Kim suggested we TP her house, which had it not been 30 degrees and WET outside it would have been really funny. Instead, Kim made some posters and we went and hung them in her tree last night at 10pm.

Yesterday was back to school and back to needing to be in a million places at the same time! The kiddos have eye doctor appointments this week, baseball practice, wrestling practice, lots of homework, field trips at school, and Daniell is leaving to go out of town on Thursday and will not be back until Sunday! I also went back to the gym yesterday (uuugghh) THANKS KRIS ~ I really enjoy working out, but I just can't seem to get to there!! So maybe I will try at least 3 days a week to start! I am going back tonight :)

Home by 12:30!! We went to our friends house New Year's Eve and had a great time. The kiddos had so much fun playing with Hunter, Brandon, and Alyssa. We snacked on some good food, the kids had silly string, poppers, and very loud horns!!! It is great to have such good friends. It was also my friend Kris' birthday ~~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRIS ~~ (just had to make sure I say it again lol) Of course I forgot my camera, so no pictures..... Maybe next time! We sat around yesterday and did NOTHING ~~ it was great to just to relax and watch a little football. I hope everyone has a GREAT 2009!!

Confessions of a Baseball Parent........
I used to have a regular life. (Actually, many of my friends think that sentence should say, "I used to have a life", period.)

It doesn't really seem that long ago. Then I became a competitive baseball parent.I used to think anything over $40 was an exorbitant price to pay for a baseball bat. Now the contents of my son's equipment bag are worth more than everything else in the house.

I used to be one of the leaders in my field of work. I still am. (You have to keep a good paycheck coming in if you want to support a competitive baseball habit!)

I used to think a double-header was a long day at the ball field. Now after two games we're just getting warmed up.

I used to look for fancy restaurants that served seafood and prime-rib. Now I'm a connoisseur of nachos and hot dogs and my kids rate a city by the quality of a tournaments snack bar!Sunflower seeds used to be something I would see at a store and wonder who would eat those things? Now I don't feel comfortable leaving the house with out a bag in my pocket.

My lawn used to be like a carpet. It was green, mowed, trimmed, fertilized, and watered. Now I have two big bare spots fifty feet apart and dents in the garage door from fastballs that got away!

My car used to draw admiring looks and comments. It was clean and waxed and shined and Armor-All'd. Now it only draws attention when it wins the "dirtiest car in the parking lot" prize or it is covered in "go team" shoe-polish.

I used to have a garage. Now I have an indoor batting area.

My friends and I used to spend Monday mornings talking about a round of golf or a movie we had just seen. Now I bore them to death with play-by-play descriptions of five or six low-scoring ball games.We used to sit and talk for hours. We still do, however, now it's to keep the driver awake when we're headed home late Sunday evening after a tournament.

My summer casual wardrobe used to be made up of color-coordinated polo shirts, cool cottons in bright colors, and the occasional "aloha" shirt. Now I have a closet full of T-shirts that have Tournament Names on the front and competing teams on the back.

We used to spend our summer vacation relaxing on the beach or visiting family. Now we hit the road with 20 of our closest friends in a caravan that could rival some small town parades.

I used to be concerned that I would fall into the trap of living my life through my kid. Now I know that I'm privileged to live my life WITH my kid, and I wouldn't have it any other way!!!

YES, I'm a Competitive Baseball Parent, what could be better!!

For those who know me, you know my car has NEVER been clean and waxed (lol) and that our yard, well it needs some attention and always has!!! But the rest of it is so true!!!

Madyson and I got to go see the play Annie at the Bass Performance Hall in Ft Worth last night. My dad gave us ticket for Christmas. It was a great time. We had an all day 'girls day'. We went and had our nails done, got all dressed up, had a nice dinner downtown Ft Worth, and went to the play at 8pm. She was so cute and silly. As we turned the corner outside the Bass Hall, she was giggly and goofy. She was in awe of the outside of the place and even more impressed by the inside. I think now she wants to take drama classes!! The play was not over until 11:00 - she fell asleep on the way home! When we got home she went straight to bed and slept until 11:30 this morning! She was wore out! We had a very nice time together - what a great memory!!

My goodness I have been so busy..... Things have been a little crazy, but really good. My dad has been here for the last week and will be here through Christmas. We don't get to see him very often, so there is a lot to cram in while he is here.
He helped me get my bathroom faucets replaced... what a learning experience for me, but hey I can do it now!!! Thanks dad! Also a big thanks to my nephew Kyle who helped!! He also tore out some beams and the bathroom cabinet in the kids bathroom, so it is well on its way to looking better!!
Our Home Team group did a community service project last night, and wow was it eye opening. We had the kids collect blankets from around the neighborhood and took them to Downtown Dallas and passed them out to the homeless. We decided that most of our kids were old enough to help distribute the blanket, so they went also. It was a great opportunity for them to see, that not everyone lives like we do, and how blessed we truly are. I think it made an impact on them. I know it did on me. So I think we are going to do it again maybe after the first of the year!!!
I think I am almost finished shopping! Maybe have one more thing to buy!!
I am excited, this is the first year that I am off work on Christmas Eve (Daniell's birthday). The kids are out of school and probably have cabin fever right now because it is too cold to go outside and play!! It is crazy, stupid cold... On my way to work this morning it was 26 degrees!! Off to take my car to my dad so he can check the brakes and to the eye doctor. Have a great day!!!

There has been way too much stuff going on! Not even enough time to post. I have been meaning to tell this story about Joshua ~~ My sweet Joshua!!
One day last week I was looking over his planner from school and the comment that day from his teacher just said "Please talk to Joshua about his drawing" ~~~ I think to myself - Oh great what did he draw. So I did just that, asked him what he drew at school..... He starts to tell me about some guy he drew with a star head. He went into great detail about the eyes, the body, the legs, etc.... I stop him and tell him to get to the part where he got in trouble. Then he proceeds to tell me he drew the guy arms and a hand and fingers (can you guess where this is going?) - Then he says "On one of his hands I drew his pinkie finger sticking up" ~~~ I know now where the question 'Do you think I was born yesterday?' came from!!! So we had a great talk about what he did and why it was inappropriate and what it really means. Because I am pretty sure he did not know what it meant, only that it was something he was not suppose to do! Have a great day!

Thanksgiving was great. We had about 17 people over for the day. It was great to have all the family together. Of course the girls went to Garden Ridge when the football game started. I finally found some rugs for the living room. That only took like 3 years! We put in tile that long ago, and I just had not found anything I liked. My mom and James were in town. It is always great to have Granny around.
Kris and I shopped ALL night Thursday night (or more like Friday morning) lol. It was great. Then about 9 am Kim, Kyle, Mom, Madyson and I went shopping. We had a fun time. I lost all my steam about 2:30. I just love the craziness of Black Friday!
We have the Christmas tree up(thanks Kim), that's it... No other decorations up. Because of course, life is back to school, work, practices, appointments, and places to be after school! Maybe we can get all the stuff out of the attic tonight some time! I came home from work yesterday and found one of my cats in the top of the tree.... Hopefully when we get it decorated he will stay out of it. But probably not!

Well, I think I am all ready for the big Thanksgiving Day!!! My mom is coming in town, so that will be lots of fun!! I have been to the grocery store 4 times in the last four days! Everyone will be coming to our house and that is always fun! I have left the kids with BIG chore lists for the day.... hopefully I will not have too much to do when I get home from work. I know Daniell will crack the whip and make them get things done. He always is able get WAY more accomplished with the kids than I can!! Imagine that!! lol
I cannot wait until Friday! I hope to get ALL my shopping done! I just love to look at the ads on Thursday and set out a plan of action! I hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving!

Well, I got through surgery just fine. Shawna was so sweet to come up and be with Daniell and I. Even though I don't remember much (good drugs). I slept for a couple of days - the anesthesia kicked my butt!! I feel good today.
Daniell and I went to a meeting at school for Alex. He seems to be struggling really hard. So they are going to begin some testing to see if they can figure out what is not 'clicking'! I am so lucky to be in such a great school district. They don't just care about the job they do, but they care about the kids. Individually~~~ They care about my kid!! I am so blessed!!! Daniell and I had a great day together. We went to lunch and grocery shopping. That was really easy with him and not three kids. He was a great help!!!
This weekend I have veggie coop shop and the girl scout American Girl party! Alex has his first wrestling tournament Saturday. I will miss it due to the girl scout party, but I cannot wait to hear how it goes! Have a blessed weekend!

I laughed so hard I cried! Kim called me last night and told me to check my email and to make sure Madyson was with me. So I tore her away from the TV and we opened my email. Well, Kim had made a jib-jab sendable ecard. She put Madyson's picture in the place of Vanessa Hutchins (from High School Musical) face. So in essence Madyson got to dance with Troy! I cannot even begin to tell you how funny it was~~~ She giggled the entire time and I mean giggled and could not stop! When she woke up this morning and showed her bothers~~

Jury Duty!!!

Well I will start with the weekend. I had a great birthday. We had one baseball game Saturday and went out to eat with my hubby and kids. Halloween was fun, the kids had a great time. In bed a little early because, as you all know, there is nothing more important than a good night sleep before a big baseball tournament! (it didn't work...lol)
My sweet husband got me a really cute pink Garmin (GPS). I love it. I also got a really sweet key chain from my sister. It is like a charm key chain. She had a 'happy birthday', 'starbucks', and 'baseball' charm put in it. Very appropriate for me!
Monday started a long couple of days for me! I got jury duty. And got picked for the trial. It was a misdemeanor DWI. It took two days, the judge said that is not normal ~ should have been less! But the defense attorneys were terrible! It was a 6 panel jury. We all agreed he was guilty. The deliberation took about 10 minutes. I meet some nice people. The best part was we got to talk to the judge and the attorneys freely after it was all over. I do have to say I did learn alot, and even though it at times was a 'beating', it was very interesting. I am glad that I am excused for the next three years!
Daniell left this morning for somewhere ~ not sure where this time ~ He will not be back until Sunday :( We have a busy few days without him. Many places to be, and a few at the same time. Thanks to Kim and Eleanor I am able to get through the week.

So it has been a long time.... I have been busy!!! Let's first start with last weeks baseball tournament... Alex's team took 2nd place I will try to attach a pic (if I can figure it out) They did a great job and it was two solid day of being at the baseball field. The other two had fun playing with all the other siblings! We have another tournament this weekend...Thank goodness our Saturday games are at 3pm and 5pm... So that means that I get to sleep in on my birthday, hey maybe I will get breakfast in bed! (or at least a Starbucks)lol

I went to the doctor on Tuesday and had a procedure done where the doctor looked at my uterus to see if I needed a hysterectomy or if we could do a less invasive procedure call Nova Sure. Basically, shorter down time and NO major surgery. Considering that after 3 c-section deliveries I would have to be cut open to have a hysterectomy. So good news there, the Nova Sure is scheduled for the 19th of November.

Madyson started a program at our gym called Fit Academy. It is an hour long twice a week only for kids ages 7-11. Hopefully this will help... Kids are mean and call her names...makes me want to cry just typing this...They do 30 minutes of cardio and also teach then about nutrition and what is good and bad choices!! This will last 7 weeks and then we will see what is next. They do have 3 levels, so hopefully this will be something that will be on-going. I just pray she does well and improves her health and self-esteem.

Joshua's baseball season is over so that helps with the schedule. He just tags along with Daniell or I all the time. Thank goodness he is a go-with-the-flow kind of kid!

WOW what a week this has been!!! Daniell went back to the doctor on Monday and he has pneumonia!!! He got to bring his chest x-rays home they look BAD!! Thank goodness he was not put in the hospital. Yesterday the doctor called to check on him, and of course he was not any better!! So she called him in a steroid~~ Maybe now he will get better~~ Lots of breathing treatments, antibiotics, and the list of meds goes on. He called this morning and told me he felt 90 years old because of all the medication he had to take this morning!!!

Joshua plays in his last game of the season tomorrow at 9 AM!! GO REDS!!!

Alex plays his first tournament of the fall season this weekend....they start Saturday morning at 8:00 ~~ so that means he has to be there at 7!!!! YUCK Then he plays again at 4 in the afternoon! I hope they start out the season well. GO FLOWER MOUND HUNTERS!!!

Madyson is excited to see her friend Baylee tonight for her birthday party ~ they have not seen each other in a long time!!!

I would like to remind myself of several years ago when I had three babies and I thought my life was busy!!! What a joke!!! The days of staying at home, taking care of the house, and the kiddos.... I only wish they were back!!! I keep thinking about when my older sister told me "don't teach them to talk and don't teach them to walk" my kids that is!!! But of course I did not listen!!! Now they are older and from what I hear (and see) it does not get any easier!! But probably more interesting, and with my great friend and family, probably pretty funny too!!!
This is my schedule now!! Alex is in baseball, wrestling, and student council. Joshua is in baseball. Madyson is in a reading program. And my sweet, sweet husband travels ALOT!!! I have a full-time job, and I have ventured into a new business! After adding the wrestling schedule to the calendar, there is not a day in the week that we don't have something going on, and most days things overlap. I am sure blessed that my hubby can cook, clean, and do the laundry!!!
Daniell got home Sunday night from being gone for 5 days!!! That was a long 5 days!! Joshua had a great game on Saturday ~ Two in the park home runs ~ one was a grand slam~~ He was so excited!! Alex should start his tournaments in a couple of weeks!
My sweet hubby brought me a SWEET gift from being gone so long!! A Coach Swingpack purse and little wallet. He is so sweet!

Well, Daniell went to the doctor...she ran a flu test, thank goodness it was negative. So he just has a BAD viral infection! He was in bed for two day with 102 fever. He started alternating Tylenol and Advil every two hours all day! I took Joshua to the doctor yesterday also... he just has a really bad cold, she gave him some Rx cough med and told him to take it easy!
We all went to Joshua's game last night~~Daniell got out of bed for the game (silly, silly, man) ~~ but I am sure Joshua loved that he was there! We had Hunter and Brandon with us~~It's always fun to have people come watch the games! Hopefully Daniell is taking it easy today, so he will get better!

Well ~ i think everyone in the house is sick, but me!! Mainly just allergies, but who knows! Daniell's is really bad ~ He has been running a fever all weekend ~ Last night it was 102.8 ~ Kinda high for an adult! He is at the doctor this morning!
Joshua had a great game on Saturday ~ He hit a triple ~ right over the right-fielders head!
The boys spent the night with there great friends Hunter and Brandon on Saturday night! They always have such a good time with them ~ it is amazing, there is no bickering or fighting, the four of them have so much fun!!!
Sunday was a pretty lazy day ~ Just trying to have everyone rest and get well!
Joshua has a late game tonight ~ not til 7:30! This will make for a crazy late evening!

11 years today

Today is our 11 year anniversary. Daniell gave me a new pink ipod nano ~ it is so cute ~ and pink!! Kim has offered to keep the kiddos tonight so we can go to dinner~~thanks Kim! I need to figure out something to give him~~the only problem with that is, when he wants something he goes and buys it~~so I don't really know what to get him!
I am a little annoyed at my doctors office. I had some tests ran on Friday, they said the results would be back on Monday.... Well I called right before lunch today and asked they had the results and the lady said "yes they are here and someone will be calling you today" ~~~ That just stinks, now I get to ponder what 'might' be wrong with me!!! Good Morning!

We have had a great week and weekend! Alex ran for Treasurer for the Student Council at school, and won!!! He had to give a speech in front of the entire 4Th and 5Th grade class! His teacher said he was the first on to give a speech (that had to be very nervous). He is so excited and I am really proud of him!

Saturday Joshua had a game he did great~~ hit a triple!! Saturday evening we did a little rearranging in the house - Daniell started the laundry - the kids played - great weather and very relaxing.

Sunday we went to the Klinkos and watched the first football game and have pizza - Alex had conditioning, Joshua went with him and Daniell (it makes him feel like he is so big when he works out with Alex's team) ~ Madyson, Kim and I went to Highland Village and shopped around ~ had a girl's afternoon!

I am so excited Grey's starts this week!! I just only wish the girls would stop kissing other girls!

my sister Kim came over and put a permanent curl reducer on my hair, because it is CRAZY curly - NOT NOW~~ we had lots of fun, but it did take 4 hours. my sweet friend Megan came in town and hung out saturday afternoon and night! i just love her ~ she is so funny and is such a great friend~ we went shopping and ate dinner at Logan's (of course with the my kids because Daniell is out of town). we were sitting at the table and the boys start throwing peanuts into the bucket on the table.... i was okay with that..no big deal. then Megan pretended to throw one in the bucket and threw a peanut right at Joshua! they (the kids) were a little shocked for a moment - then started laughing - and then.... peanuts went flying!!! it was so much fun!!!

sunday we headed to Kims to do Trey's girlfriends hair - the kids brought there bikes and played in the neighborhood! then Alex went to practice and we had HomeTeam!

Daniell got home really late last night...not really sure when...all i know is that he was in the bed when i got up to go to work this morning! i am so excited about the weather this week!

Last night was pretty quiet around the gage household! Joshua went to practice, alex played in the neighborhood and madyson played her friend down the street. madyson and i started watching the movie 'annie'. i had told her i loved the movie when i was little. she was so funny about every 15 minutes she would ask me a question: why is there all girls at that house? what is wrong with that lady? is she drunk? why is she drink the water out of the flower vase? mom, what really happen to her parents? are her parents going to come and get her? why would someone leave there kids in a place like that? how do you know all these songs? but i think the best was the comment - 'mom they sure had some pretty houses back then, but the clothes are not so cute! oh my goodness - it was so funny! so i started dinner and the movie was still on~~~ all the boys came home and were totally irritated that they had to watch the rest of the movie and could not put on the football game!! daniell even looked at me and motioned that he was going to slit his wrists!! i assured them the torture would not last much longer! all was well they caught the last half of the game!!

schools is back in full swing. madyson is back to the library every week. joshua started back with baseball, practice on tuesday, thursday and sometimes friday. alex starts back with baseball on sunday, his practices will be wednesday and sunday, and batting trainer on thursdays. and alex comes home from school yesterday and says 'hey mom guess who made student council?' YEP it is him! so one more thing to the schedule... i am excited for him. he was chosen by the 5th grade teachers and then voted by his peers. i don't know what i would do without a full calendar...probably be REAL bored---or have a clean house! :)

long weekend!

we had a great long weekend!! helped kris paint and decorate hunters room! it is so awesome! and we went to six flags... yes on labor day...we went to six flags..kind of crazy, but lots of fun.... 2 adults 6 kiddos! daniell came back in town on sunday! happy to have him home for a while!!!

i have to share the sweetest thing that happened! let me preface this with, my son alex, who is 10, is a raging ball of hormones! (even growing hair under his arms YIKES) - so he is being a great big jerk, especially to his brother and sister! okay.... kim and i are in the garage, stripping madysons dresser. madyson comes outside and is mad because alex is being mean and says 'he has to act sooo cool around his friends'!!! i tell her that i know and i am real sorry to just ignore him for now! so about 10 minutes later she comes back outside, eyes full of tears, but not crying! i ask her what was wrong... she, not crying yet, asks me if it was wrong to THINK bad things about someone? i said "what?" now the tears flow and she says (in the middle of crying) "i said two curse words about alex in my head and now i feel really, really bad!" thank goodness kim was there, because i really was not sure what to say to her. kim was great, she told her about how wonderful it was that we have Jesus in our hearts, all we have to do is ask Him for forgiveness and it is done! what a sweet heart she has! (also thank goodness, a conscience too :) )

this morning as i was getting ready for work, and it hit me....or God hit me! i am so lucky....no i am so very blessed!!! i was gently reminded, by God,-
- what a great husband i have. he really is perfect for me. i just thanked God for giving him to me.
- what great kids i have. i can't believe He trusted me with three of His precious children!! what an honor and a blessing
- what a great family i have, in addition to my hubby and children.... i mean my mom, my sisters, my dad. i am so blessed to have them, not only be my family, but great friends too...
- speaking of friends God has blessed me with really great friends and neighbors! i feel so safe and comfortable...as much as daniell travels.. to feel so 'ok' when he is gone, but also to know that if i didn't, that i have great, dependable friends i can call, even if it is just to talk!
- also what a great job i have - i get to work in His house! i am surrounded by christians, i don't have to worry about what i say or if i am going to offend someone with the name of Jesus! i have great people i work with... WOW

i thanked God this morning for blessing my life in so many ways, i also thanked him for giving me all of you! i also prayed that God may bless you and keep you safe! thank you to everyone - i love you!!!

first day of school

everyone made it to school this morning! of course alex didn't want anything to do with us as soon as we walked in the front door. madyson told me last night she was nervous! as she walked away with a friend i asked her if she was good, she said 'yep' so we walked around to joshua's class got him all settled in (his 'meet the teacher' was canceled due to power outage). i introduced joshua to his teacher and her response was "oh, mady's brother!" my poor boys...i don't know if anyone would know who they were if it were not for their sister! :) so as we were leaving the school madyson is standing outside, where we walked in, with the assistant principal...of course crying. she had thought we left! so we walked her to class i gave her a big hug and told her to have a great day!

saturday was joshua's big 8th birthday.... we celebrated by spending the day at six flags with a couple of friends! so 5 kids, kris and I went to spend the saturday before school starts at six flags. It was not bad, the kids had a blast! it rained for about 20 minutes, of course right before alex and hunter got on the texas giant, they closed it! alex was bumbed! we left and took them to sonic for a treat..nothing like ice cream at 10 o'clock at night! all in all we had a great end of the summer weekend!

okay...i get home about 3:15 and daniell had called on a bike that someone had listed on criags list... joshua's bike needs a new chain....so of course the logical thing to do would be to buy a bike RIGHT???? (no, no we cannot go buy a new chain for the bike) so at 3:30 he says we need to go to las colinas and get this bike for joshua - his birthday is saturday! but we also need to be at the school at 5:30.... so we all pile in the car and head to get the bike! well as the kids and i sit in the car it is taking a long time... it is now 4:30...4:40...4:45 i think great we go to buy a bike and someone has killed my husband!!! a little dramatic i know, i am just a little crazy about being late!!! he finally come out with a great bike has all kinds of boy stuff on it and hopefully this one will last a long time!!! so back to flower mound we go at 4:50...from las colinas PRIME traffic time....but of course i get all freaked out about nothing we made it on time!!!

'meet the teacher' was great!!! we went to the school and met alex and madyson's teachers! (joshua's will be thursday night). alex's teacher is new to the school, not to lisd or 5th grade so that is wonderful! her name is mrs. walker, she is from the netherlands! so she talks really cool, even though she has been in the states sense 1990. we have a new principal this year, alex's teacher came with her from rockbrook elementary. i am very excited about her...the first thing she said was that she did not teach the taks test, that she teaches curriculum!! she also does not give homework, the only homework he should have is what he does not finish in class!

madyson's teacher has been at timbercreek for about 7 years. she used to be in law enforcement---i think that will probably be perfect for madyson---lol. she seems really good, she like to teach life skills and not just regular old school!!! of course every time i turned around madyson was no where to be found....off finding long lost friends and hugging all the staff!!!

joshua was a little bumbed last night because his night is not until thursday, so none of his friends were there... he is gearing up for big 8th birthday on saturday!!!!

i think something blew in yesterday because last night my sinus' started hurting and my throat is really sore...yucky drainage!!! i really don't want to get sick!!! also one more thing big huge thanks to kim who made my page look so cute and so me!!!! hugs and kisses THANKS KIM!!!

this weekend

this weekend we tackled our backyard! i know does not sound like very much fun, but for everyone who knows my husband --- he does not spend a lot of time outside (unless of course it is on the baseball field!) so he got a wild hair to start cleaning up the backyard---and i jumped at the opportunity!!! we took 3 truck loads to the dump!!! with the help of some great friends - kris, brian, hunter and brandon--- thank you - also thanks to sister kim for being available with water bill in hand in case we needed another trip!!! it was really fun, but goodness i was sore saturday and sunday!

saturday we did a little back to school shopping for the boys --- i also then realized that i cannot shop for all three of the kiddos at the same time --- too much drama ---

sunday morning my sister kim came with me to help buy back to school stuff for madyson - i don't think i could have done it without her!

so....last night we separated and labeled school supplies - alex and madyson get to meet their teacher tonight and joshua gets to meet his teacher on thursday night!!!

i have been trying to create a blog for a long time!!!! so here it is!!! yesterday was the big release of "madden '09" - my crazy husband was at game stop at midnight with a couple of friends to buy it!! alex and joshua got to clean the fence because they decided to spray paint their bike ramp and one of them had the great idea to paint smiley faces on the fence!!! i just love little life lessons!!! :) so - i guess that's about all for today - have a blessed one!
